Dr. Thomas Schuld

Tick-borne illnesses have increased exponentially over the past several years. Doctor Schuld  will discuss these illnesses and answer participants’ comments and concerns about disease detection and prevention.

About Our Speaker

THOMAS SCHULD – AKA “Dr. Tom”  graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  He practiced in small animal clinics in Minneapolis for 16 years, before moving to Maine in 2018.  His special veterinary interests include general medicine, dentistry and surgery, but what he enjoys most is getting to know his patients and the people who love them so much.

In 2013, he traveled to Ecuador on a volunteer WorldVets spat/neuter project, where a little street dog approached him and quickly won his heart – that little dog, now named Chula, resides here in Maine with Tom, his wife Sandra, rescue dog Toby and cats Annabelle, Cecil, Felicity and Dublin.  When not at the hospital, he enjoys spending time exploring all the things Maine has to offer.  He also enjoys doing volunteer work, home renovation, cooking, baking, biking, fishing or basically any outdoor activity.
